VENUE OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
The Venue Operations Assistant is the main point of contact between the outside. This person is in charge of all mail deliveries & pick-ups, incoming phone calls, customer service, and handles the lost & found for the venue. The receptionist also assists each department when needed in special projects.
ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
MAIL DELIVERIES & PICK UPS
- Takes care of all incoming mail & packages and makes sure to notify the right person upon arrival
- Directs packages to the right location
- Assists in getting packages ready for pick-ups
INCOMING PHONE CALLS
- Screens and routes all incoming calls from the main line appropriately
- Communicates internally within each department
- Returns important phone calls from the voice mail
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Answers all customer concerns
- Provides event information (door time, age limit, set times, etc)
- Helps customers with ticket-related issues (non-show hours)
LOST & FOUND
- Uploads and processes all lost items from each weekend into our L&F SYSTEM
- Communicates with customers regarding filed claims
- Schedules pick ups of lost items
- Ships items out when needed
SALARY: $20 to $25 per hour
GUEST RELATIONS LEAD
Reporting to the Venue Operations Manager, the Guest Relations Lead is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service and safety to all AD/BK patrons and special event guests. This position oversees audience relations to ensure an experience that enables every person to feel welcome. This position manages all Front of House (FOH) operations, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising between 7-10 FOH staff members. Additionally, the Guest Relations Lead will work collaboratively with AD/BK managers to establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all patrons.

ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor all customer requests and complaints and train all box office personnel to ensure an optimal level of customer service to provide resolution and process all orders
- Have knowledge in operating the latest software, using the cash register, handling credit card payments, and other tasks related to running a box office
- Lead the charge on setting up a ticket booth in multiple rooms scanners and an inventory sheet to keep account from beginning to end to make sure everything is accounted for. Also breaking down at the end of the night.
- Manage guest relations areas
PRE-EVENT TASKS:
- Coordinate with core management team for how tickets will be implemented & distributed for events
- Look at Box office staff schedule for each door and set up tills for each employee
DURING EVENT TASKS:
- Oversee Guest Relations areas to ensure it is operating in an efficient manner
- Lead Guest Relations team by enforcing & relaying all necessary steps for guest entry into the venue
- Complete ticketing sales effectively & promptly
- Track sales throughout the event & regulate with core venue Management Team
Resolve customer problems/inquiries regarding ticketing issues, fraudulent ticket purchases, or other challenges that arise for entrance into the venue.
POST-EVENT TASKS:
- Sign off on each employees sign out sheets before they clock out
- Ensure Guest Relations Area/Bag Check/Coat Check area is broken down and meets operational standards
- Sign out Guest Relations Liaisons
- Sales drop & summary officially signed off and deposited to safety box
SALARY: $23 to $25 per hour
GUEST RELATIONS LIAISON
AD/BK seeks several outgoing, accountable, and energetic Guest Relations Liasons to serve as the primary AD/BK representatives for the public and cultivate a meaningful and memorable experience for all visitors. The Guest Relations team is composed of dynamic and reliable individuals with excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. A successful Guest Relations Liason has a passion for engaging with the public, an enthusiasm for working in outdoor public spaces, and prioritizes safety and an excellent standard of care.
The Guest Relations Liaison is in charge of welcoming guests, scanning tickets, operating coat check, and answering tickets related questions. Liaisons ROTATE positions throughout the duration of the event varying from scanning tickets of guests upon entry, greeting guests, roaming the property to ensure the safety of patrons, driving the sale of merchandise, and being a reliable source of information to guests as well as lost and found.
ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scan tickets for customers upon arrival
- Assist customers with tickets concerns
- Provide directional support
- Sell merchandise
- Assist with the purchase of onsite tickets
- Set up Guest relations and Box office areas
- Assist with crowd control
- Set up coat check/bag check station as directed by the Manager
- Hang ticketed hangers properly and place racks neatly
- Ensure work area is clean at all times
Retrieve customer items in a professional manner
Properly organize coats and racks - Keep an eye of all belongings in the coat check area
- Provide general assistance to managers and guests as needed and requested by managers.
If you have or obtain your F-03, F-02, or Food-handling certification, additional compensation can be discussed.
SALARY: $18 to $19 per hour
COAT/BAG CHECK ATTENDANT OVERVIEW
The role of Coat Check Attendant is to Check-In coats for customers and confirm payment. Cashiers are responsible for handling banks provided by your manager, and to accurately account for your registers total earnings.
ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up coat check station as directed by the Manager
- Hang ticketed hangers properly and place racks neatly
- Ensure work area is clean at all times
- Retrieve customer items in a professional manner
- Properly organize coats and racks
- Keep an eye of all belongings in coat check area
PRE-EVENT:
- Set up racks with hangers from the stand
- Ticket every hanger in order and hang them in a rack
- Move racks that are ready in order to maximize space
- Ensure registers are ready to open
- Fill out drawer money slip
DURING EVENT:
- Greet customers
- Ask for customer’s initials and label it on the top of half of the ticket.
- Rip off the bottom half of the ticket and hand it to the customer.
- Request that they take a photo of their ticket in case they lose it.
- Place the coat on a hanger
- When checking in a bag or item, label initials on the front side of the bag ticket and wrap it securely onto the checked item.
Once the exchange is complete, wish the customer a pleasant evening and move on to the next customer.
POST-EVENT:
- Retrieve customer belongings at the end of the night
- Rip off hanger’s tickets and throw them in a trash can
- Place hangers in designated stands
- Move racks and place them in their designated area
- Help breaking down coat check to meet operational standards
If you have or obtain your F-03, F-02, or Food-handling certification, additional compensation can be discussed.
SALARY: $18 to $19 per hour
PORTERS
To maintain a clean interior and exterior of the venue, including but not limited to, lounge areas, main floor, bars, food stand areas, bathrooms, green room, and supply areas.
ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure venue is show ready before guests arrive each night
- Keep all areas, and most importantly guest-facing areas, free of trash during events
- Complete general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, taking out trash and recycling
- Dust/wipe down tables, couches, and other furniture
- Pick up any debris outside of the venue
- Replace plastic trash can liners
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Assist with cleaning duties as assigned
- Shovel snow from around entrance/exits, put down ice melt as needed
- Communicate with supervisor and manager with regards to cleaning problems and supply needs
- General labor for event set-up and breakdown, including but not limited to, moving furniture
SALARY: $18 to $21 per hour
